The Golden Age was lived in Alba de Tormes between the XVI and XVII centuries. This was the period of greatest splendor of the Duchy of Alba, which attracted prestigious writers to the castle-palace.

In the Golden Age, Alba de Tormes became a small court where culture flourished in all its facets, accompanied by an intense palace life.
